A unique Three-County Board Meeting is scheduled for April 30, 2024, and will be hosted by Siskiyou County, Modoc County, and Klamath County as they tour the Klamath Project.
The Meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m. at Klamath Water Users Association (KWUA), 2312 S 6th Street, Klamath Falls, OR 97601. Supervisors and Commissioners will start the tour via charter bus and stop at the following locations.
- Stop 1: A Canal Headworks and Link River Estates
- Stop 2: Klamath Drainage District and Lower Klamath NWR
- Stop 3: Liskey Farms (Lunch – 11:15 a.m. approximately)
- Stop 4: Pumping Plant D and Tule Lake NWR
- Stop 5: Copic Bay and Petroglyphs
- Stop 6: Cal-Ore Produce
- Stop 7: Return to KWUA
Local irrigators and industry experts will make presentations throughout the tour.
Organizers warmly invite the public to attend this enlightening meeting/tour. Seating on the Charter Bus will be arranged on a first-come, first-served basis, ensuring fairness and transparency.
As the tour stops are in rural locations, it is recommended that those interested join the tour at 9:00 a.m. at KWUA or during lunch (approximately 11:15 a.m.) at Liskey Farms (4000 Lower Klamath Lake Road, Klamath Falls, Oregon, 97603). Please come dressed appropriately for outdoor activities, as we’ll be on-site for most of the day.
Restrooms will be available at KWUA and the lunch stop.
