Irrigators from the Upper Klamath Basin are
being invited to meet with members of the Yurok Indian Tribe next month to
discuss water needs in the Klamath River Basin.
Water users and tribal members will examine
the concerns of the Karuk and Hoopa and Yurok tribes.
Nest week's workshop is sponsored by the
Klamath Compact Commission, the Upper Klamath Basin Working Group and the
Oregon State University Extension office in Klamath Falls, and is the third
meeting held by the Stakeholders group.
A second meeting was held in November in the
Scott Valley.
Bob Chadwick of Consensus Associates will
facilitate the workshop.
An optional lunch and strategic planning
session are planned for Friday, Feb. 4 from noon to 5 p.m. at the Yurok
Tribal administration Building at 190 Klamath Blvd., Klamath, Calif. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ NOTE: In accordance with Title 17 U.S.C. section 107, any copyrighted material herein is distributed without profit or payment to those who have expressed a prior interest in receiving this information for non-profit research and educational purposes only.
