American White Pelican
American white pelicans nest and
raise their young near colonial nesting sites on small islands in permanent
wetlands in Upper Klamath, Lower Klamath, and Clear Lake National Refuges.
During the spring, summer and fall, white pelicans are seen feeding in both
deep and shallow wetlands as well as irrigation canals throughout the Upper
Klamath and Tule Lake Basins.
