Stewardship

Producers on the Klamath Project are proactive about stewardship and conservation. Seeking to stay ahead of the curve, producers manage their lands and leases to optimize efficiency and benefit native wildlife that so often utilize private lands on the Project. Working in cooperation with local refuges, private wildlife sanctuaries and other land management agencies, producers have sought to work in harmony with the many uses and demands on Project lands. In recent years individual project irrigators and KWUA have received honors for their outstanding work and stewardship of Klamath Project lands.
